Beauty Portrait: Sabrina

This was inspired by a photo presented to me by a client. This is actually the second illustration - the changes being that I changed the background from blue to grey and added sparkles or sparkle-like effects to it. The sparkle effect is meant to give a showering effect and was added to her head piece to a little bling. This illustration was created in Photoshop.

Beauty Portrait: Madame Butterfly

This is another favorite. I was inspired by another editorial and I thought it would be interesting to add other mediums to this illustration. The butterflies are vintage lithos that I distressed in Photoshop, but also to make it appear that they are actually incorporated in her hair. Her are made with layers of several shades of yellow and gold. I think she is incredible! This illustration was created in Photoshop.

Beauty Portrait: Eva

This is one of my most recent illustrations. I really had a lot of fun using the paint brushes in Photoshop and getting more acquainted with the Wacom tablet. I wanted this illustration to have minimual color, while using layers of black and grey to draw attention to her eyes and angular features. This illustration was created in Photoshop.

Beauty Portrait: Sway

I many favorites and this is one of them! I really like how the color is layered and the direction of the color gave the illustration movement, as if she is swaying. I really like color blocking and applied it to this illustration. This was sketched in Sketchbook Pro and color was applied in Photoshop.

Beauty Portrait: Red Hot

This was really fun to do - I was inspired by an editorial in a Russian Vogue issue. I wanted bold color with a painterly effect  - which most of my work is turning out to be. The sketch was done in Sketchbook Pro, and then adding color and effects in Photoshop.

Beauty Portrait: Gatsby Inspired

This is a beauty Illo that was inspired somewhat of the 30's and editorial that I saw. I love pattern design and wanted to incorporate that into the illustration. I created the pattern in Illustrator and then applied it to the her clothing in Photoshop along with some distressing effects. This illustration was sketched in Sketchbook Pro and then finished in Photoshop.

Beauty Illustration: Evelynn Portrait

This is a beauty Illustration that I did using the Wacom tablet. I usually do a lot of illustration using watercolor and ink, but I have spent the time getting used to working on a tablet and using Sketchbook Pro. This was created using Sketchbook Pro and Photoshop.

Cafe Bella Mia Original and Redesigned Identity

Original Logo

Redesigned Logo

This is a logo I redesigned decided to make it much cleaner, yet keeping the hand drawn look and charm of the original - applying it the text and image of the bowl of pasta. This was hand drawn and then was changed to a vector image in Illustrator.

Branding Project: Marche du Chocolate Hot Chocolate Mixes

This is a personal branding project and is an off shoot of a larger branding project, which is a chocolate truffle company. This is a branch of Marche du Chocolate (Chocolate Market) that consists of beverages and possibly cake mixes. What you are seeing are tins that would contain several different cocoa mixes in inside. The design replicates the logo used for chocolate truffle company and ties in with a signature color that belongs with the product, as well as the symbol of the ingredients of the product, such as peppermint stick, cinnamon & nutmeg, vanilla & lavender, and finally chipotle & cardamom. This is meant to help the buyer recoginize the color with the main ingredient. This was created in Illustrator.

Wedding Invitations

This is the finished product of the wedding invitation I did for the client I have mentioned in the previous posts. Lime green and several shades of purple were her colors - the design on the invite was also meant to tie into the jewel design on her wedding gown. Her gown emulated a 30's style and I thought the invites did a great job replicating the design on her gown and the theme of her wedding, which was held in Key West.

Colorful Circus Style Bridal Party Invitation

This was a submission to the same client. I wanted something with a lot of color and it has s somewhat of a circus theme. I also wanted to experiment with the typography in this invitation to add a zany effect to go along with the background. Some may like others may not, working with multiple fonts is a balance act and takes practice. This was created in Illustrator and InDesign.

Vintage Pin-Up Girls Bridal Party Invitation

This was another submission for the same client. We both loved this invite and for me it was a blast to do! (The client loves pin-up girls) This also happens to be digital - I used Photoshop and InDesign for the layout.

Bridal Shower Pool Party Invitation

This was just one in a couple of bridal shower invites submitted to a client. I decided give it a fun retro theme (thats what the client was looking for), however she ended having a Halloween bridal party. This  completely digital, the artwork was created in Illustrator, effects were applied in Photoshop and then the layout was done in InDesign.
